PROGRESS REVIEW DAY
All students had the opportunity to discuss progress with
their Tutors on Tuesday. Many parents joined the discussion, which is to be
welcomed. It is important that all students are aware of their Minimum Target
Grades or Levels in each subject and of the difference between this and their
present performance. Target setting of this kind is an extremely useful way of
ensuring that progress continues to be made.
RACE EQUALITY
DISCUSSIONS
Four sixth form students Inemesit Essien, Nikki Sambandan,
Shamma Yousafzai and Vickie Niroomand-Rad represented the school at a meeting
with Lord Ouseley, former Chair of the Race Equality Council to discuss issues
of race equality with students from other schools in Norfolk. They were thanked
by the organisers of the event for the valuable contributions they made in the
discussions and seminars.

DEAF NEWS
The Winter issue of Deaf News - Norfolk's magazine for deaf
people - includes an article about the sign Language scheme at CNS. It is
excellent to read that seven of our students have undertaken BSL Stage One. The
students - all in Year Ten - undertook a programme with Mrs Whistlecraft to
complete the course, endorsed by CACDP - the Council for the Advancement of
Communication with Deaf People. Those featured - all in smiling photographs -
are Alice Turner, Donna Vallis, Kate Whistlecraft, Kelly Everett, Emma
Strivens, Laura Wiseman and Sally Thirkettle. Well done!
