REMEMBRANCE
At 11 o'clock on Monday 11 November, we observed a short period of silence
in memory of those who have died in order that we may live our lives in
freedom. During Assemblies on Monday and last week, all students were invited
to consider the price that has been paid and the challenge that the United
Nations currently face in preserving world peace.

YEAR 8 2003 NEW
INTAKE EVENING
This Thursday and next Tuesday 19 November, we welcome
students currently in Year 7 together with their parents. We hope that our
visitors enjoy the evening with us. More than anything, conversation with those
already here is helpful for Middle School students in making their choice of
High School. Thank you for the warm welcome that you give.
'SUCCESS
FOR ALL' AT CNS
It is good to have reports of many students who are set to
have a completely 'clean sheet' by next Wednesday. Credits will be awarded to
all those who manage to achieve this.
CHARITIES WEEK APPROACHES
CNS's annual Charities Week is planned for three weeks'
time between 2 and 6 December 2002. Voting for the cause to be supported will
be complete this week and details published next week. Preparations will soon
be underway and each Form will have the opportunity to devise ingenious and
imaginative ways of depriving others of their cash! Auditions for some of the
spectacular entertainments have already taken place. Will CNS students be able
to raise the same kind of amount as they have in previous years? All ideas for
raising money - big and small - can be considered. Please see your Tutor or Mrs
Seddon to discuss further.
VIBES!
Bored after school? Interested in music or art? Want to
make new friends? Then you could join a club that you would help to make your
own? 'Vibes!' - CNS' after school club - is now up and running every day after
school until 6pm. Full details from the School Office or from Mrs Abbott.
