THE CANTERBURY TALES
This year's crazy Christmas production promises to be a fun night out for all. Performances will run nightly from 28 November - 1 December. Tickets, at a cost of £3, can be bought in the school hall at lunch times. Good luck to the cast as they enter the final weeks of rehearsal.

CONGRATULATIONS!
Well done Katie Webster of 10Ra, one of our Leisure & Tourism students, for getting the highest score for CNS students on the recent Norwich Treasure Trail activity. Katie received a £20 HMV voucher from the Norfolk Tourism Management Partnership.

WORK EXPERIENCE EXCHANGE
It is the second year that our German A-level students have taken part in a work experience exchange. Seven students spent their half term working: as a district nurse, in a tax office, at the Royal Theatre of Koblenz, in schools and kindergartens, in the environment. During their stay they had ample opportunity to enhance their language skills and knowledge of the country. Students completed a diary focusing on working conditions/rights and social security within their fields. Thanks to Miss Wind for organising this worthwhile initiative.

YEAR 12 ONE WORLD CONFERENCE
On Thursday 11 October over 200 Year 12 students participated in the 8th CNS One World Conference. The eleven workshops ranged from African Drumming to Alternative Medicine. Many issues were discussed during a lively plenary session after lunch. One outcome of the conference is the formation of three student generated groups involved with Human Rights, Anti-Racism and Fair Trade.

CURRICULUM BULLETINS
Key Stage Co-ordinators are preparing the first edition of a regular, termly leaflet in which details of courses and assessments will be published. Normally, this will be issued at the start of term but the first edition (for the current term) will be issued shortly. We hope that this publication will provide a useful source of information for both students and parents and will help with planning and target setting.

U16 GIRLS FOOTBALL
The team started off the season with an excellent game against Costessey High School. It was a cup game and the girls won by 9-0! Goals were scored by Michelle Hobart 10Sn, Hayley Girling 10Wd and Sammy Notley 10Ra. The team will now play in the next round.
